Birds Without Borders – strenghtening bird protection on regional level

Ornithological society „Naše ptice“, Center for Protection and Research of birds, Preservation and Protection of Natural Environment in Albania and Macedonian Ecological Society will jointly implement the „Birds Without Borders – BWB“ project in the next 9 months with the aim to empower and strenghten cross border cooperation of environmental civil society organization working on birdlife protection in the Western Balkans.

Through four joint camps which will be organized in all participating countries, the involvement of young people, especially biology students, in the scientific research and exchange on regional level  will be supported in order to increase their knowledge about birdlife, share experiences with colleagues, both on national and regional level. This project represents the continuation of the cooperation of organizations working jointly for many years  on the Adriatic Flyway, a corridor which millions of birds use during spring and autumn migration.

The project is supported by the Western Balkans Fund, aiming to strengthen the cooperation between the Western Balkans countries, and strengthen relations and regional cohesion, to advance integration into the European Union.
